A. TITEL

Verdrag tussen de Regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en de Regering van het Hasjemitische Koninkrijk Jordanië betreffende een tijdelijke plaatsing van troepen van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden in Jordanië;

D. PARLEMENT

Het in rubriek H hieronder opgenomen Vierde Protocol van 23 september 2018 tot verlenging van het Verdrag van 2 oktober 2014 behoeft ingevolge artikel 7, onderdeel e, van de Rijkswet goedkeuring en bekendmaking verdragen niet de goedkeuring van de Staten-Generaal.

G. INWERKINGTREDING

Het Verdrag van 2 oktober 2014, waarvan de geldigheid op 2 oktober 2018 zal aflopen, blijft ingevolge het gestelde in artikel 1 van het Vierde Protocol van kracht tot de missie is voltooid, maar tot uiterlijk 2 oktober 2019.

Wat betreft het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden, geldt het Vierde Protocol, evenals het Verdrag, voor Nederland (het Europese deel).

H. VERLENGING

Op 23 september 2018 is te Amman een Vierde Protocol tot stand gekomen tussen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en het Hasjemitische Koninkrijk Jordanië, waarin het Verdrag van 2 oktober 2014, waarvan de geldigheid zal aflopen op 2 oktober 2018, wordt verlengd. De tekst van het Protocol luidt als volgt:


Fourth Protocol establishing the prolongation of the Agreement between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on a temporary deployment of troops of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Jordan

The Kingdom of the Netherlands

and

The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

Referring to the Agreement between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on a temporary deployment of troops of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Jordan, concluded on 2 October 2014 (hereinafter “the Agreement”),

Recalling the Protocol on prolongation of the Agreement of 28 September 2015, the Second Protocol on prolongation of the Agreement of 5 October 2016, and the Third Protocol on prolongation of the Agreement of 16 October 2017,

Recalling the expiry of the Agreement as per 2 October 2018,

Desiring to continue their good co-operation as reflected in the Agreement,

Have agreed on the following:

Article 1

The Agreement, which is due to expire on 2 October 2018, shall be prolonged from 2 October 2018 until the completion of the mission, as referred to in Article 2, and under the terms of Article 13 of the Agreement, but not later than 2 October 2019.

Article 2

This Fourth Protocol shall enter into force on the date of its last signature, and shall, if the date of that signature is later than 2 October 2018, have retroactive effect to that date.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the undersigned, being duly authorized thereto by their respective Governments, have signed this Protocol.

In overeenstemming met artikel 19, tweede lid, van de Rijkswet goedkeuring en bekendmaking verdragen heeft de Minister van Buitenlandse Zaken bepaald dat het Vierde Protocol zal zijn bekendgemaakt in Nederland (het Europese deel) op de dag na de datum van uitgifte van dit Tractatenblad.
