In verband met het uiteenvallen van Joegoslavië zijn op 25 februari en 21 april 1992 nota's gewisseld waarin de regering van Kroatië en deregering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden tot overeenstemming komen over de voortgezette toepassing van onder meer de onderhavige Overeenkomst tussen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en Kroatië. Zie voor relevante passages uit de bedoelde notawisseling rubriek J van Trb. 1995, 98. Vervolgens zijn te 's-Gravenhage op 30 augustus 1999 en 3 februari 2000 nota's gewisseld waarin de regering van Kroatië en de regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden tot overeenstemming komen over de voortzetting van de onderhavige Overeenkomst tussen de beide staten. Zie voor de bedoelde notawisseling rubriek J hieronder.

Op 31 juli 1992 is te Ljubljana een gezamenlijke verklaring ondertekend waarin de regering van Slovenië en de regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden besluiten tot de voortgezette toepassing van de onderhavige Overeenkomst tussen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en Slovenië. Zie voor de verklaring rubriek J van Trb. 1995, 98.

Op 27 juni en 11 juli 1994 zijn te Skopje en 's-Gravenhage nota's gewisseld waarin de regering van de Voormalige Joegoslavische Republiek Macedonië en de regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden tot overeenstemming komen over de voortgezette toepassing van de onderhavige Overeenkomst tussen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en de Voormalige Joegoslavische Republiek Macedonië. Zie voor de bedoelde notawisseling rubriek J van Trb. 1997, 278.

Op 21 september 1995, 29 februari 1996 en 25 augustus 1998 zijn te Sarajevo en 's-Gravenhage nota's gewisseld waarin de regering van de Republiek Bosnië en Herzegovina en de regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden tot overeenstemming komen over de voortgezette toepassing van de onderhavige Overeenkomst tussen het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en de Republiek Bosnië en Herzegovina. Zie voor de bedoelde notawisseling rubriek J van Trb. 1998, 269.

Op 9 en 20 augustus 2002 zijn te 's-Gravenhage nota's gewisseld waarin de regering van de Federale Republiek Joegoslavië en de regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden tot overeenstemming komen over de voorlopige buitenwerkingtreding van de onderhavige Overeenkomst tussen beide staten per 20 augustus 2002. Op 30 augustus 1999 en 3 februari 2000 zijn te 's-Gravenhage nota's gewisseld tussen de regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en de regering van de Republiek Kroatië inzake hun bilaterale verdragsverhoudingen. De tekst van de nota's luidt als volgt:

The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and has the honour to refer to the note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia of 25 February 1992 notifying that, in compliance with the Constitutional Decision on Sovereignty and Independence and the Law on the Conclusion and Implementation of International Agreements, as of 8 October 1991 all international agreements concluded by the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia were taken over by the Republic of Croatia.

Wishing to promote the relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands and reaffirming that the bilateral Agreements that have been in force between the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands should continue to be applied in the relation between the two states unless otherwise agreed, the Embassy proposes that the following Agreements concluded between the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands represent Agreements concluded between the Republic of Croatia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands:

1. Convention on Trade and Navigation, Belgrade, 28 May 1930, entered into force on 17 April 1932

2. Convention on the settlement of disputes through adjucation, arbitration or conciliation, The Hague, 11 March 1931, entered into force on 2 April 1932

3. Exchange of Notes concerning the reciprocal submission of information on criminal sentences against foreigners, Belgrade, 9 October 1953/8 June 1954

4. Agreement on compensation for interest of the Netherlands in Yugoslavia which have been affected by nationalisation measures, Belgrade, 22 July 1958, entered into force 25 August 1959

5. Agreement concerning the regulation of certain financial claims of the Netherlands, The Hague, 9 February 1961, entered into force 21 November 1961

6. Cultural Agreement between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Belgrade, 11 August 1966, entered into force 29 May 1967

7. Agreement on the protection of investments between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Belgrade, 16 February 1976, entered into force 1 April 1977

8. Convention between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia on social security, Belgrade, 11 May 1977, entered into force 1 April 1979

9. Administrative arrangement concerning the modalities of application of the Convention on Social Security, Belgrade, 16 May 1977, entered into force 1 April 1979

10. Convention between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and capital, with a Protocol, Belgrade, 22 February 1982, entered into force 6 February 19831.

If the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands accepts the above proposal, the Embassy shall consider the receipt of the Note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to that extent as the confirmation that an understanding has been reached between the Republic of Croatia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, that the Agreements mentioned in this Note constitute Agreements between the Republic of Croatia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands the assurances of its highest consideration.
