In verband met het uiteenvallen van Joegoslavië zijn op 25 juli 2001 nota's gewisseld waarin de regering van de Federale Republiek Joegoslavië en de regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden tot overeenstemming komen over de voortgezette toepassing van de onderhavige Overeenkomst. Zie voor de bedoelde notawisseling rubriek J hieronder.

Op 25 juli 2001 zijn te 's-Gravenhage nota's gewisseld tussen de regering van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden en de regering van de Federale Republiek Joegoslavië inzake de voortgezette toepassing van de onderhavige Overeenkomst. De tekst van de nota's luidt als volgt:

Nota No. 1246/9-2001

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia presents its compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and refers to a meeting on 15 March 2001 at The Hague between delegations headed by Mr. Boran Karadzole for the Federal Ministry for Foreign Economic Relations of the FR of Yugoslavia and Mr. Paul Vlaanderen for the Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The Embassy has the honour to propose that the Convention between the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and on capital, with Protocol (Belgrade, 22 February 1982) remains in force and represents a Convention concluded between the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

In case the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands accepts the proposal contained herein, the Embassy will consider the receipt of the Note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands confirming the acceptance of the proposal as an agreement that the Convention between the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and on capital, with Protocol (Belgrade, 22 February 1982) constitutes an agreement between the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands the assurances of its highest consideration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands has the honour to refer to Note No. 1246/9-2001 of 25 July 2001 from the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, which reads as follows:

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs accepts the proposal contained in Note No. 1246/9-2001 of 25 July 2001, so that an understanding has been reached between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia that the Convention between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia for the avoidance of double taxation with respects to taxes on income and on capital, with Protocol (Belgrade, 22 February 1982) remains in force and represents a Convention concluded between the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
