Het in de nota's vervatte verdrag is bij brieven van 15 maart 1995 in
overeenstemming met artikel 13, eerste lid, van de Rijkswet goedkeuring en
bekendmaking verdragen ter kennis gebracht van de Eerste en Tweede Kamer der
Staten-Generaal.

Het in de nota's vervatte verdrag is voor onbepaalde tijd verlengd ingevolge
de in rubriek J hieronder afgedrukte nota's.

Op 6 en 14 februari 1996 zijn te Londen nota's gewisseld tot verlenging
van het onderhavige verdrag. De tekst van bedoelde nota's luidt als volgt:

The Royal Netherlands Embassy presents its compliments to the Foreign
and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern
Ireland and with reference to the Embassy's Note no PA-78441 of 30 November
1994 concerning the Agreement governing the status of personnel seconded to
the European Drugs Unit in The Hague and the Note of the Foreign and Commonwealth
Office, No FCO/WED/1/95 of 27 January 1995, has the honour to propose on behalf
of the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands that the said Agreement,
which is formed by aforesaid Notes, shall be extended from 16 February 1996
for an indefinite period.
If the foregoing proposal is acceptable to the Government of the United
Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Embassy proposes that this
note and the affirmative note of the Ministry together shall constitute an
agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the
Governement of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland which
shall enter into force on the date of receipt of the affirmative note of the
Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The Royal Netherlands Embassy avails itself of this opportunity to renew
to Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain
and Northern Ireland the assurances of its highest consideration.

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom of Great Britain
and Northern Ireland presents its compliments to the Royal Netherlands Embassy
and has the honour to acknowledge receipt of the Embassy's Note of 6 February
1996, which reads as follows:

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has the honour to inform the Embassy
that the above proposals are acceptable to the Government of the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and therefore to agree that the Note
of the Embassy and this affirmative Note constitute an Agreement between the
Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and
the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands which shall enter into force
on the date of receipt of this Note.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office avails itself of this opportunity
to renew to the Royal Netherlands Embassy the assurance of its highest consideration.

Ingevolge het in de op een na laatste alinea van nota Nr. II gestelde
is het verlengingsverdrag op 14 februari 1996 in werking getreden.
Ingevolge artikel 7, onderdeel e, van de Rijkswet goedkeuring en bekendmaking
verdragen behoeft het verdrag tot verlenging geen goedkeuring van de Staten-Generaal.
