De Commissie van Toezicht heeft tijdens haar Zevende Vergadering, gehouden van 30–31 mei 1996, een wijziging van de Bijlage aangenomen. De wijziging is op 1 juli 1996 in werking getreden.

Injectable local anaesthetics are permitted under the following conditions:

a) that bupivacaine, lidocaine, mepivacaine, procaine, etc. are used but not cocaine. Vasoconstrictor agents (e.g. adrenaline) may be used in conjunction with local anaesthetics.

b) only local or intra-articular injections may be administered.

c) only when medically justified (e.g. the details including diagnosis) dose and route of administration must be submitted prior to the competition or immediately, if administered during the competition, in writing to the relevant medical authority.

D. Corticosteroids

The use of corticosteroids is banned except:

a) for topical use (aural, dermatological and ophtalmological but not rectal);

b) by inhalation;

c) by intra-articular or local injection.

E. Beta-blockers

Some examples of beta-blockers are:

acebutolol

alprenolol

atenolol

labelatol

metoprolol

nadolol

oxprenolol

propranolol

sotalol

...and related substances.

L'injection d'anesthésiques locaux est autorisée aux conditions suivantes:

a) utiliser la bupivacaïne, lidocaïne, mépivacaïne, procaïne, etc, mais pas la cocaïne. En conjontion avec des Anesthésiques locaux, des agents vasoconstricteurs (p.ex adrénaline) peuvent être utilisés.

b) ne pratiquer que des injections locales ou intra-articulaires.

c) uniquement lorsque l'application est médicalement justifiée (dossier incluant le diagnostic), la dose et la méthode d'administration doivent être soumises par écrit à l'autorité médicale compétente avant la compétition ou immédiatement si la substance a été administrée durant la compétition.

D. Corticostéroïdes

L'usage des corticostéroïdes est interdit, si ce n'est:

a) pour usage local (voie auriculaire, dermatologique ou ophtalmologique mais non rectale);

b) par inhalation;

c) par injection intra-articulaire ou locale.

E. Bêta-bloquants

Les bêta-bloquants comprennent les exemples suivants:

acébutolol

alprénolol

aténolol

labétalol

métoprolol

nadolol

oxprénolol

propranolol

sotalol

...et substances apparentées.
