Verklaring van voortgezette gebondenheid

De volgende Staten hebben aan de Secretaris-Generaal van de Verenigde Naties medegedeeld zich gebonden te achten aan het Verdrag:

1 De Regering van Griekenland heeft op 12 april 1994 de volgende mededeling gedaan:

“Accession of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia to the Convention on Psychotropic Substances, concluded at Vienna on 21 February 1971, does not imply its recognition on behalf of the Hellenic Republic."

2 Onder de volgende voorbehouden:

“The Government of the Union of Myanmar will not consider itself bound by the provisions of Article 19, paragraphs 1 and 2.

The Government wishes to express reservation on Article 22, paragraph 2(b) relating to extradition and does not consider itself bound by the same.

The Government of the Union of Myanmar further wishes to express that it does not consider itself bound by the provisions of Article 31, paragraph 2 of the Convention concerning the referral to the International Court of Justice of a dispute relating to the interpretation or application of the Convention."

Tegen dit voorbehoud met betrekking tot artikel 22, tweede lid, letter b, kan ingevolge artikel 32, derde lid, tot 20 september 1995 bij de Secretaris-Generaal van de Verenigde Naties bezwaar worden gemaakt.

3 Onder handhaving van het door Tsjechoslowakije bij de ondertekening gemaakte voorbehoud met betrekking tot artikel 19, eerste en tweede lid (zie Trb. 1989, 129, blz. 112).

1 De Regering van Argentinië heeft op 4 februari 1994 naar aanleiding van de door het Verenigd Koninkrijk van Groot-Brittannië en Noord-Ierland afgelegde toepasselijkverklaring het volgende verklaard:

“The Argentine Republic rejects the extension by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland of the application of the Convention on Psychotropic Substances, signed at Vienna on 21 February 1971, to the Malvinas Islands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands and reaffirms its sovereignty over these islands, which are an integral part of the national territory." (vertaling)

De Regering van het Verenigd Koninkrijk van Groot-Brittannië en Noord-Ierland heeft op 4 januari 1995 tegen deze mededeling het volgende verklaard:

“The British Government have no doubt about the sovereignty of the United Kingdom over the Falkland Islands, as well as South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, and have no doubt, therefore, about their right to extend the said Convention to these territories. The British Government can only reject as unfounded the claim by the Government of Argentina that these Islands are a part of Argentine territory."
