Besluit van de Minister van Justitie en Veiligheid van 2 oktober 2023, nr. 4914984 tot wijziging van de Regeling bescherming koopvaardij in verband met wijziging van Annex 1 Permission Application Form

De Minister van Justitie en Veiligheid,

Gelet op artikel 2.2, zesde lid, van het Besluit bescherming koopvaardij;

Besluit:

ARTIKEL I

Annex 1 Permission Application Form bij de Regeling bescherming koopvaardij wordt vervangen door Annex 1 Permission Application Form zoals opgenomen in de bijlage bij deze regeling.

ARTIKEL II

Deze regeling treedt in werking met ingang van 1 oktober 2023.

Deze regeling zal in de Staatscourant worden geplaatst.

TOELICHTING

Met deze wijzigingsregeling wordt Annex 1 Permission Application Form van de Regeling bescherming koopvaardij (hierna: de Regeling) gewijzigd.

In artikelen 3 en 4 van de Wet ter Bescherming Koopvaardij, 2.2. Besluit bescherming koopvaardij en 2 van de Regeling is geregeld dat bij de aanvraag om toestemming van de Minister van Justitie en Veiligheid om gewapende maritieme beveiligingswerkzaamheden aan boord van een schip te verrichten, toe te staan of mogelijk te maken gebruik wordt gemaakt van het model-formulier zoals opgenomen in Annex 1 Permission Application Form van de Regeling.

Het formulier wordt met deze wijzigingsregeling aangepast om beter aan te sluiten bij de Wet ter Bescherming Koopvaardij en bij het Besluit bescherming koopvaardij. Bovendien wordt er niet meer gevraagd om informatie die niet nodig is voor het verlenen van de toestemming. Daarnaast is het formulier op verschillende onderdelen verduidelijkt en zijn er enkele tekstuele en technische wijzigingen aangebracht.
