In overeenstemming met artikel 8 van de Rijkswet goedkeuring en bekendmaking verdragen zijn bij een brief van 8 mei 2001 de op 21 november 1997 te Genève tot stand gekomen Slotakten van de Mondiale Radio Communicatie Conferentie ter kennis gebracht aan de Eerste en Tweede Kamer der Staten-Generaal en de Staten van de Nederlandse Antillen en Aruba.
De in rubriek J hieronder afgedrukte Slotakten van 21 november 1997 behoeven ingevolge artikel 7, onderdeel b, van de Rijkswet goedkeuring en bekendmaking van verdragen niet de goedkeuring van de Staten-Generaal.

Behalve de in Trb. 1999, 46 genoemde hebben nog de volgende staten in overeenstemming met artikel 54, vierde lid, juncto het eerste lid van hetzelfde artikel, van het Statuut van de Internationale Telecommunicatie-Unie (Genève, 1992) de Secretaris-Generaal van de Internationale Telecommunicatie-Unie in kennis gesteld van de goedkeuring van de Slotakten van 17 november 1995:

De bepalingen van het Herziene Radioreglement zullen ingevolge artikel 54, vierde lid, juncto het eerste lid van hetzelfde artikel, van het Statuut van de Internationale Telecommunicatie-Unie (Genève 1992) voor de Leden, voor welke het Reglement ingevolge het derde lid van hetzelfde artikel voorlopig wordt toegepast, in werking treden op de dag waarop hun instemming door het Reglement gebonden te worden, aan de Secretaris-Generaal van de Internationale Telecommunicatie-Unie wordt gegeven.
Ingevolge artikel S59, tweede lid, van het Herziene Radioreglement, worden de bepalingen, zoals herzien door de Mondiale Radiocommunicatie Conferentie (Genève, 1995), betreffende nieuwe of gewijzigde frequentie toewijzigingen (met inbegrip van nieuwe of gewijzigde voorwaarden met betrekking tot bestaande toewijzingen) en de daarop betrekking hebbende bepalingen van de artikelen S21, S22 en Bijlage S4 van het Herziene Radioreglement voorlopig toegepast vanaf 1 januari 1997. Ingevolge het derde lid van hetzelfde artikel worden de overige bepalingen van het Herziene Radioreglement, zoals herzien door de Mondiale Telecommunicatie Conferentie (Genève, 1995 en 1997), voorlopig toegepast vanaf 1 januari 1999. Van voorlopige toepassing van 1 januari 1999 zijn, ingevolge het vierde lid van hetzelfde artikel, uitgezonderd de herziene bepalingen waarvoor andere data van inwerkingtreding zijn bepaald in de Resoluties PLEN-4, PLEN-5, GTPLEN2-1, COM4-18, COM4-19, COM5-18, COM5-19 and COM5-30.
Wat het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden betreft, zal het Herziene Radioreglement voor het gehele Koninkrijk gelden.
De volgende staten hebben in overeenstemming met artikel 54, vierde lid, juncto het eerste lid van hetzelfde artikel, van het Statuut van de Internationale Telecommunicatie-Unie (Genève, 1992) de Secretaris-Generaal van de Internationale Telecommunicatie-Unie in kennis gesteld van de goedkeuring of bekrachtiging van de Slotakten van 21 november 1997:

Het in 1995 Herziene Radioreglement is niet zoals vermeld inTrb. 1999, 46 voor het gehele Koninkrijk goedgekeurd op 10 februari 1999 maar op 12 februari 1999; het Reglement is derhalve op 12 februari 1999 voor het gehele Koninkrijk in werking getreden.
